I know why the seats on trains have high backs. I found out on Sunday when I had to take the replacement bus service from Leigh to Pitsea and was confronted by this.

Aside from his corned beef ears (they really were made of corned beef!) what I found most alarming was this creatures' hair situation. He'd opted for the 'if I cant see the back of my head no one can' attitude. He was clearly oblivious to the fact that shaving the front of his hair down to a number one and leaving the bits he couldn't see in the mirror long, greasy and infested with dandruff would induce absolute disgust on the poor people that were to sit behind him on the replacement bus.

You can't really judge something until you have something to compare it to. So it might have been better if he'd left the whole of his head long and greasy but because the front was so short it just highlighted the filthy mess he'd made at the back. If you're fat don't stand next to anything streamline.

So for 25 minutes I stared at the back of a mans head with what I can only describe as disgusted fascination, thinking about how I hated buses where we are forced to contend with these views. Why do these filthy creatures only come out on buses I thought. And then I remembered about the high seats on the c2c and how we are all hidden from one another in our safe little seated areas. They are still there. Just disguised behind the grey plastic paneling of the seats. Nice familiar simple grey paneling. How I have taken you for granted.

Made a poster to send to 'Global Cool', a charity campaign that inspires the mainstream to reduce their carbon emissions. It's a light hearted response to the typical art school student that inadvertently addresses some green issues..

No other biscuit will ever get a review, by me, on here. But this is special.

Appearance: Pretty standard. A bit like Rachel Stevens in food form. Alright on paper. Everything is there. And in the right place. But when you look for too long you just get bored and overwhelmed by a sense of emptiness.

The flip side is confusing and makes me cringe. The biscuit bit floats impossibly in the solid chocolate as though it idiotically gave into temptation and perfected a completely horizontal belly flop in order to to fulfill its gooey chocolatey need. Unbeknown to the stupid biscuit the chocolate instantly solidified and now the biscuit lies there, like a freak, in this weird rectangular pool. Drowned in no more than 5 mm of chocolate. Fool!

If you can ever get over the fact that the bumpy bits on the edges are called 'teeth', (check the wiki page,) you might be able to bring yourself to put this thing in your mouth. This is when it's existence seems clearer. This is when the choco leibniz excretes, most elegantly, on the chocolate digestive.

When eating prawns, mussels or non filleted sardines, the challenge of getting food from plate to mouth in complete edible form is rewarding . It can be time consuming. Sometimes, with prawns, the head doesn't rip straight off and sometimes it's filled with those tiny egg like things which were described to me once as 'bits of brain damage.' We still go through this trauma cos we are all sadistic freaks and we love mauling our food before eating it.

Here, trauma comes in the form of delight. The lightest of pressure applied by your two front teeth and in a satisfying 'snap' the chocolate is yours. And it's good chocolate too, not like some of the fake European stuff. You work your way around, clockwise normally, anti-clockwise if you're feeling anarchic. It's a bad day if you get one where the biscuit isn't accurately centered in the chocolate and you get to the fourth edge ready to nibble away squirrel and acorn style, only to realise you've been denied your final chocolate overhang because of a biscuit that took a messy dive.

However, preparation is over and you take the first BITE bite and quickly establish... aside from Torvill and Dean this is the only time you will ever experience two things working in complete and utter harmony with one another.

TAP (an old water works building [above]) is the current home of CoExist Arts, The White Bus, Level 4 Magazine and Idea13 and will form a new cultural hub for Southend-on-sea. Yeahhh!
CoExist Arts have set up artist studio spaces and a gallery, one of which is now K-Scott Studio. (said with a wry smile) ;p

Here I am standing next to a Lidl bag, part of which which shares the same colour as my trews.

Never buy this ikea flat pack shelving unit. It is, in a word, CRAP. The workspace is good though. 4 trusty trestles supporting 2 plywood doors, stuffed with cardboard.

Colour scheme: "graphic design white". Controversial, but somehow appropriate.

It also doubles as a very practical fashion accessory. A must have for 2010.
The only reflection in the screen is that of the jacket.. which is fine as it is all the same colour. And reflection from your hands... but this is just about ok...
Arms go through two holes in the front of the jacket...
The trouble with working outside is there is too much reflection on the screen. MACjacket helps combat this problem!

Images showing the original vs. digitalised version. I am very interested in the restoration of this film! It's like new age conservation. So it was digitalised at high res, then the dirty dusty damaged sections were taken out, and a new colour grade was added. And shazam. Inspiration for a new project about restoring digital things that cannot be restored digitally. So by hand or some other means. Or restoring things that shouldn't be restored digitally, digitally...
